Robbins Brothers Looks to Create Engaging Military Moments in May

Robbins Brothers, known for its dedication to helping soldiers with limited resources get engaged, specifically wants to hear from members of the military who are ready to surprise their significant other with a creative and memorable marriage proposal. In honor of Armed Forces Day (May 16), the company will help with the proposal plans and even donate the engagement ring.
Robbins Brothers would also like to hear from women who want to take the non-traditional route and propose marriage to their boyfriends. A recent poll indicates that 37% of women are open to taking on this role, and more men than women are accepting of the shift in responsibility.
Previous couples whom Robbins Brothers helped engage include Jasmine Chopra and Luis Delgadillo of Southern California, two soldiers formerly stationed in Iraq who decided to spend forever together once Jasmine popped the question to Luis. "Marriage was the last thing on my mind," said Jasmine. "And now I'm the one who proposed! Luis helped me realize that I can continue to be an outspoken, vibrant, powerful woman, yet still find comfort and pleasure in being completely in love and independent."
Jerry Davenport and Jeannie Klepper of Arlington, Texas also received engagement assistance from Robbins Brothers. Jerry emailed the company's Ring Center for guidance: "I am in Iraq and want to get married as soon as I return. I have mentioned marriage on the phone and she is ready. So what I'm dealing with is picking out her ring online and sending it to her but I need to figure out a way to make a great proposal and get her the ring. What ideas do you have?"
The Ring Center helped Jerry find the perfect heart-shaped diamond ring for Jeannie and also suggested he create a video on bended knee. They arranged for Jeannie to visit the Arlington store as she thought she won a random drawing. However, she received a surprise video of Jerry asking for her hand in marriage and a beautiful engagement ring that was presented to her on his behalf by Kelly Roddy, the store's general manager.
